The Library Bistro and Bookstore Bar nourish the soul with delectable American dishes with an emphasis on locally grown herbs, vegetables, fresh seafood and regional specialties. With 48-hour notice, a well-known designer was commissioned to redecorate 8 rooms and suites. All but 2 were returned to the original decor. Suite features with rich colors, including taupe-grey walls, eggplant carpet, tapestry fabrics, antique furnishings and original artwork. -street view, connects with ALEX. Honeymoon suite -HYST- 1 suite at the hotel, on the 6th floor -700-800 sq ft - bedroom features king bed, red loveseat, romantic mood lighting, collection of romantic CDs and books, Klimt's the Kissö painting -Room will accommodate 3 people with the addition of a rollaway -Luxurious bathroom features 2-person Jacuzzi tub with overhead skylights, dual showerheads in separate walk-in shower, Egyptian cotton bathmats, towel Warmer, foaming bath gel, and CD player All bathrooms (except spa suites) feature a tub/shower combination, 100% cotton towels, Aveda bath products, hair dryers. - Some king deluxe rooms feature jetted standard tubs, but these are subject to availability and cannot be guaranteed. - The John Lennon suite features a jetted standard tub. - The spa suite features an oversize bathroom with a 2 person soaking Jacuzzi tub surrounded by tile steps, a separate walk-in shower with glass doors. - The honeymoon suite also features Egyptian cotton bath mats, a heated towel rack, CD player, bath gel and skylights over the Jacuzzi tub.

Directions from Seattle-Tacoma Airport (SEA) -Take Interstate 5 North into Seattle, WA. -Exit at Madison Street. -Turn left at first stoplight. This is Madison Street. -Follow Madison Street to First Avenue. -The Downtown Alexis Hotel is on the corner at the intersection of First Avenue and Madison Street.

Follow Interstate 90 to Interstate 5 Northbound. Shortly after entering I-5, take the Madison Street exit (right hand exit). Turn left onto Madison at stoplight. Continue on Madison to First Avenue (5 blocks). The Alexis Hotel is located on the corner of First Avenue and Madison Street.

Follow Highway 520 to Interstate 5 Southbound. Continue on I-5 south to the James Street Exit (right hand exit). After exiting, take the first right hand turn onto Columbia Street (one way street, westbound). Follow Columbia (downhill/west) to First Avenue. Turn right onto First Avenue. Follow First Avenue two blocks to Madison Street. Turn left onto Madison Street. The hotel's valet station is on the corner of First Avenue and Madison Street.
